  • What is the Paser rating system?

    The Pavement Surface Evaluation and Rating (Paser) system is used to evaluate the condition of road segments. The Paser system rates each segment on a scale of 1-10 with 1 being the worst condition, and 10 being the best condition (new pavement).

  • What can Paser data be used for?

    That information has been used to generate annual reports, populated interactive maps and generate a wide range of performance measures presented in dashboards. In addition to use by the TAMC many agencies use Paser data to help manage their road systems and convey information to the public.

  • Who collected the data for the Paser study?

    The Grand Valley Metro Council (GVMC) located in Grand Rapids was contracted to collect the data for the Paser Study. The GVMC owns a van that is equipped to survey the road network.
