Nowadays, Pass has created his own company, namely Pass Labs, that is producing his designs; it sports two series of products, a budget oriented one (in a manner of speaking...), the Aleph presently being tested, and a very high cost one with absolutely threatening power.

This remote was exactly the same as found in Pass Labs XP-12 preamplifier. Pass Labs INT-25 measures (W x H x D) 43.2 x 45.5 x 15.2cm and weighs 23.2kg, which turns it into a regularly shaped and sized amp though heavy. Although manageable single-handedly, one can easily tell it’s not a toy.
The Pass Xs Preamp sells for $38,000, and the Pass Xs 300 mono power amplifiers sell for $85,000 a pair. As might be expected from Pass Labs’ history, both components meet their goal. At the risk of eliminating any suspense from this review, they are the two best-sounding examples of a preamp and power amp I have yet heard.
With the preamplifier positioned dead-center between a pair of Pass Labs XA-60.8 monoblock amplifiers, the preamp appeared diminutive by comparison, despite its rather standard 17-inch width, 12.5-inch depth, and four-inch height.
The Xs Preamp is a dual-mono, two-gain-stage Class A design. Each channel has its own power supply board with 100,000 uf of capacitors combining several kinds for optimum performance, from high-reliability electrolytes to custom polypropylene.
