The note can never deal actual harm to a creature and disappears if successfully attacked (AC 10 + your Charisma modifier) or overcome with a combat maneuver such as bull rush (CMD 2 + your base attack bonus + your Charisma modifier). Any creature obstructed by the solid note simply fails to budge it and loses that action for the round.

And yes, you can put it around someone's wrist like a manacle, though it won't necessarily be a very good manacle. Here's an interesting observation: You're assuming that a solid note takes the shape of the symbol for a note in modern staff notation.

Solid note I have read and think looks totally amusing, but have never got to see it in action. It could be used for a ton of things, and its power probably varies on user creativity: it can be a pulley, doorstop, handhold, etc. You could even chaincast an awkward ladder if you had the spells to burn. I …

But for best performance and reliability, make it opaque with a plain color at AppMenu>Solid Edge Options>Helpers>General, and turn OFF Show PATHFINDER in the Document Window. Another great piece of information comes from the Solid Edge Help. I found this after a search for “assembly PATHFINDER”.
One of the cool things I like about the PATHFINDER is that you can dock the window where ever you like inside of the Solid Edge window, or you can pull it outside the window and put it on a different monitor. This can help a lot when you have a very busy PATHFINDER.
You can also use PATHFINDER to in-place activate a part or subassembly so you can make edits to individual assembly components while viewing the entire assembly. The PATHFINDER tab is available when you work in an assembly or a subassembly within the active assembly.
The Flight PATHFINDER features a real bone nut, zero fret, and hardtail fixed bridge, to provide consistent string spacing, good intonation, good action, and to help to generate a wonderful core tone. The Flight PATHFINDER includes dual strap buttons, plus an attractive and ergonomic body contour, making it easy and comfortable to play.
