Day 6-Day 7 Parvo Treatment 1 We recommend you spend more time with your dog as he recuperates. 2 If he is strong enough, take him out for brief walks. 3 Schedule for checks up with your vet to check if the infections are gone and the virus subdued. 4 Monitor their temperature, and don’t allow them to overwork themselves for the next 7 days.

During courtship, a peacock will spread his tail feathers (known as a ‘train’) into a large fan-shape and strut about, shaking the feathers to attract the attention of the peahens. A peahen will choose a mate based on who has the largest and most colorful feathers, often focused on the lower portion of the train.
Peacocks don’t raise their young; peahens do. Peahens tend to live close together and help each other raise the babies, called peachicks. Peahens can begin mating when they are 2 or 3 years old. Most peafowl can live to be 20.
Peacocks can survive in the New Jersey wild on flowers, bugs and grasses. Sometimes peacocks will even join flocks of wild turkeys – a closely related species. Natural predators in New Jersey include raccoons and foxes. If you see a wild peacock in New Jersey you should keep a safe distance, according to Spencer.
Peacocks establish small territories in an arrangement known as a lek. They start their courtship displays by shaking their feathers to produce a rattling sound and spreading the tails in a colorful fan shape. A peahen walks through the several different territories of peacocks, examining the feathers on display, before choosing a mate.
