From the HOME Menu, select Controllers, then Change Grip and Order. While the following screen is displayed, press and hold down the SYNC Button for at least one second on the Pro Controller you wish to pair.
The sync button for the Pro Controller is located at the top of the controller, directly to the left of the USB-C plug. The Pro Controller should prove more viable for a wider range of games than the Joy-Cons, namely because it touts a more traditional layout, although it’s not compatible with everything.
To pair a new JoyCon with the Switch console, simply slide them into place on either side of the Switch hand-held unit. If that’s not an option, navigate to the Change Grip / Order section of the Controllers menu on the home screen.

Important: The Pro Controller can be used as a wired controller with Nintendo Switch Lite using a licensed accessory, such as the Dual USB PlayStand for Nintendo Switch Lite from HORI.
