Welcome to the official site of the QED Metal Detector. The QED is an Australian designed and manufactured single channel Pulse Induction metal detector. The QED design philosophy was to “to create a performance competitive detector at a realistic price for fellow prospectors and one that you could swing all day without a harness and bungy.”
QED Advantages The major advantages of the QED are: It can use all of the past and present Mono and DD (round or elliptical) coils built for PI Metal Detectors from all of the major coil manufacturers. The coils can be either flat wound, bundle wound, spiral wound or conventionally wound.
Interfacion Pty Ltd is pleased to announce that the QED has been modified to allow the use of DD (double D) and CC (Concentric Coplanar) coils. This change involves a simple change to the electronics within the control box. The firmware has also been upgraded to include a further improved Ground Balance.
Of course and as per the QED warranty, the firmware update is provided free of charge, except for P&H. Any QED owner who plans to attend the Laanecoorie Bash 2019 is encouraged to bring their detector along and have it upgraded at no cost. Standard postage and handling arrangements apply to other owners.
