Quadbeam's multi-beam sensors have two LEDs and two detectors. When the first LED switches on, it fires a beam to both detectors - one closer, and one further away. Both detectors take a reading, and the readings are turned into a ratio: Ra = Ix1/Ix2. Now imagine dirt has been building up on the light.
The QuadGuard System is available in five nominal widths: † 610 mm [24\ † 760 mm [30\ † 915 mm [36\ † 1755 mm [69\ † 2285 mm [90\ Crash Performance The 6 bay QuadGuard System has successfully passed the NCHRP 350, Test Level 3 tests with both the light car and pickup truck at speeds up to 100 km/h (62 mph) at angles up to 20 degrees.
The Test Level 3 model is nearly 3’ (.9 m) shorter in length than its predecessor. The QuadGuard ® II can be used to shield fixed objects 24” to 126” wide (610 mm to 3.2 m) while using less than 19’ in length (22’ for the 126”). Self-supporting steel nose, custom cut-out available.
The Quadbar is essentially a bolt on attachment. Currently 1 kit should fit most quads that are fitted with a tow bar & rack. However, many Polaris quads require variations of the brackets and need to be purchased separately at the time of sale.
