QUICK DAMs will absorb, swell & gel water, creating a barrier. If the surface is uneven, seepage may occur. If large amounts of water are expected, double layers or stacking & building a wall may be necessary to prevent leakage. QUICK DAMs are not a solution for every application.

Up for sale is a nice QUICK DAM Finessa fishing reel. This reel shows wear; however, it is still in good working order. As you can see from the photos, the foot has tape on it and it has been lightly filed down. The frame also has some rash. The anti-reverse still works as intended, the bail flips overt nicely, and the drag is strong. This reel does need a good cleaning.

Yes, you can re-use them. Once activated, QUICK DAMs will remain active until the water evaporates, typically taking several weeks for complete evaporation. If left in position, they will shrink while evaporating and grow when re-exposed to water.
Flood Barriers QUICK DAM Flood Barriers absorb, contain & divert problem flood water. Flood Barriers are water-activated and come in lengths of 5ft, 10ft and 17ft. Flood Barriers absorb, swell and gel oncoming water on contact to create a durable barrier.

They are water soluble so they absorb the water around them. Once they are saturated, they will not be able to absorb anymore. If subjected to moving water, they may serve to deflect the flow but if in standing water, they can not block further seeping water... hope that helps! how does it dry out. It air dries.

If you are talking about physically moving the water soaked QUICK DAM to sweep water, then no. It is heavy with water. If you mean can you deploy them and create a channel to direct water, then based on my use and watching it work I would say yes, you could do exactly that.
