Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) The Avaya uninterruptible power system (UPS) provides advanced power protection to mitigate power disturbances that can cause systems to shut off or malfunction.
The UPS R/T3000 G2 is designed with simple access through the front panel for hot swappable batteries. Users can safely install new batteries without ever powering down connected server and server options. HP Quality HP's hardware qualification is the toughest in the industry.
The UPS includes an isolated REPO port. When properly wired, the REPO feature enables the power at the UPS output receptacles to be switched off from a remote location. To use this feature, the REPO port must be connected to a remote, normally-open switch (not supplied).
The UPS output may carry live voltage even when the UPS is not connected to an AC supply. lTo reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, install this UPS in a temperature and humidity controlled, indoor environment, free of conductive contaminants. Ambient temperature must not exceed 40C (104F).
Uninterruptible power supply. The on-battery run-time of most uninterruptible power sources is relatively short (only a few minutes) but sufficient to start a standby power source or properly shut down the protected equipment. It is a type of continual power system .

Online/double-conversion. In an online UPS, the batteries are always connected to the inverter, so that no power transfer switches are necessary. When power loss occurs, the rectifier simply drops out of the circuit and the batteries keep the power steady and unchanged.
Operating temperature ranges for outdoor UPS systems could be around −40 °C to +55 °C. Outdoor UPS systems can either be pole, ground (pedestal), or host mounted.
