Aug 01, 2011 . In this case the RadioPopper PX transmitter decides to turn off all of the signals to fire the manual power controlled flashes. As long as I can see the FV lock symbol in the viewfinder, the G1, G2 and G3 controls do not do anything and no manual flashes fire.

The RadioPopper manual states, alkaline, NiCad, and NiMh AAA batteries from 0.9 to 1.6 volt are OK RP answered my first e-mail informing me that rechargeables are ok if they are 1.5V or more. ( Powerex AAA 2700mAh are 1.2V ) RP answered my second more specific question and said that rechargeable NiMh are ok.
