Stack Radix FC on Top of 4-in-1 ESC. The Hobbywing 4-in-1 ESC has a tall stacking connector on the right side of the ESC, which is used by the Hobbywing flight controller, but not by the Radix FC. When stacking the Radix FC on top of the 4-in-1 ESC with minimum stacking height, the connector is at the location of the micro-SD card.

The Radix LI is designed to be mounted on your quadcopter using M3 bolts. Either metal or nylon bolts can be used. The 4-in-1 ESC is mounted underneath the Radix LI on the frame. In this manual there are plenty of example programs to dem- onstrate and show off all of Radix’s features. There are even two utility programs included: one which allows you to design your own printing characters on your computer screen and one to set up Radix the way you want it with just a few keystrokes.
The Radix flight controller uses soft cables for vibration isolation and stacks seamlessly on the Radix power board, Hobbywing 4-in-1 ESC, and Radix wing power board (wPB). Its simple, sophisticated design facilitates a faster build time and minimizes human error.
Since many Radix users have IBM Personal Computers (or the equiva- lent) all the example programs are written in Microsoft BASIC for the IBM. But throughout the manual, users of other computers will find hints on how to make Radix work with their computer.
The new BrainFPV Radix line of flight controller and power board comes from Martin Luessi and BrainFPV. I had the opportunity to put these much anticipated boards to the test, and will cover my experiences with them, from building them into the multirotor to setting them up and flying.

Output for additional LEDs. Stacking height: 5.5mm (space between Radix FC and Radix PB). PCB: 4 layer, 4oz (170um) copper per layer.
These days, most FPV cameras work reliably when powered with 5V, so the best way is to directly connect it to the 5V output on the Radix FC. If your camera needs a higher voltage and can handle the full battery voltage (e.g. 4S LiPo etc), you can alternatively power it from the F output on the Radix PB, which provides filtered battery voltage.
