Oct 24, 2011 . The idea was that the actual dimensions of a model be converted to actual prototype size to give any modeler in a scale an idea of whether those parts would work. You have a special problem with wheels, especially on steam engines, unless the model you are measuring is done to proto 87 standards, compromise has to be made in the driver sizes.
