Sep 03, 2007 . RAPID untangles the decision-making process—existing or upcoming—by identifying all of the various activities that must occur for a decision to be made well. The name is an acronym, with each letter standing for an activity associated with decision making. At the outset, for example, someone must r ecommend that a decision be made.

A good model is a 24-hour design cycle: design during work, 3D print prototype parts overnight, clean and test the next day, tweak the design, then repeat. Save Cost and Time. With 3D printing, there’s no need for costly tooling and setup; the same equipment can be used to produce different geometries.

"Great service and great tools! Highly recommend RAPIDTOOL. Recently purchased the Rebar Tying Machine and it has already been such a game changer on our sites. Very efficient and easy to use!"
Click here for more reviews. RAPIDTOOL provides the hardiest and most durable rebar tiers in the business. Tying rebar manually can literally be the one of most back breaking tasks in the construction industry.
Implementing RAPID can mean trading a highly participatory decision-making culture for a faster and more efficient one. Whether the trade-off is appropriate depends on the nature of the decision. The fact is that most decisions in most organizations are best made quickly and efficiently, using one “D” and very few “As.”
Rapid prototyping elevates initial ideas to low-risk concept explorations that look like real products in no time. It allows designers to go beyond virtual visualization, making it easier to understand the look and feel of the design, and compare concepts side by side.
Rapid tooling allows you to make multiple prototypes or molds in very little time. This gives you more freedom to make design adjustments and test out new ideas. By comparison, if a prototype takes days or weeks to complete, you may be less inclined to change the design, even if it would improve the final product.
Rapid Tooling (RT) describes a process that is the result of combining Rapid Prototyping techniques with conventional tooling practices to produce a mold quickly or parts of a functional model from CAD data in less time and at a lower cost relative to traditional machining methods.
