"Remedial measures should be undertaken in a dwelling whenever the average annual radon concentration exceeds 200 Bq/m 3 in the normal occupancy area. The higher the radon concentration, the sooner remedial measures should be undertaken.
Health Canada recommends that Canadian National Radon Proficiency Program (C-NRPP)-approved long-term radon measurement devices be used (http://c-nrpp.ca/). These detectors use a small piece of special plastic or film inside a container with a small defined opening.
