There are only two necessary stepsbefore we embark on installing RDS. Those are: 1. All servers are domain joined 2. There are at least twoavailable servers The reason that we need two servers isthat the RD Licensing role will go on the second server rather than all on one,as this is considered a Microsoft best practice. In this tutorial, we use theDomain Controller as the RD License server which would not be considered bestpractice. The reason for doing this in this tut…

Quick Start is an option in RDS deployment during the process of adding roles and features with Windows Server 2012 Service Manager. It dramatically simplifies the deployment process and shortens go-to-market while still providing the ability to add additional RDS servers as needed.
Doing this setup is in two parts One add Roles and Second the RDS setup. Adding the Roles to my DC and adding all the servers in the all server filter in the server manager of the DC. Selecting the Server that holds the Remote Desktop Session host ( mvprds01 ) Selecting and installing the role.
The Quick Start deployment installs almost all of the roles you will need, except for: the Gateway role, and the Licensing role. From Server Manager, you can find Remote Desktop Services on the left. In the Deployment Overview section, click the “plus” (+) symbol for RD Gateway.
This Quick Start automatically deploys and configures an RD Gateway infrastructure in the AWS Cloud from scratch, so you can securely administer your Windows-based, Amazon EC2 fleet using RDP over HTTPS.
To work with Remote Desktop Services, the PCs must be running a Windows operating system, have the RDP display protocol installed, and have a live network connection using TCP/IP and a valid IP address.
In order to set up Remote Desktop, you need to enable remote access. To do this, move the cursor to the bottom-left corner of the screen. Right-click and then select “System.” The next window will show you all of the basic specifications of your computer such as model number, CPU configuration, installed memory, etc.
