If the Arlo app or the Arlo web interface was unable to locate your Arlo SmartHub or Arlo base station, follow these steps. Turn off your base station and unplug the Ethernet cable connecting it to your router. Begin the installation process again, but make sure to connect your base station to your router before you power on your base station.
On the "won't factory reset issue," yes, the instructions that came with the system states to press both the Sync button and the reset pinhole button at the same time... DON'T. Just press the reset pinhole until the lights turn amber. On the "base station not discovered issue", even after the reset it would not discover it.
To factory reset your Arlo wire-free camera: Press and hold the sync button on the the camera for about 15 seconds, until the camera LED begins blinking amber, then let go. Note: If you have an Arlo Ultra (or newer) or Pro 3 (or newer) camera, you must release the camera from the camera housing to access the sync button. See the picture above.
Before you begin troubleshooting, check the LED (s) on the front of your device to determine whether your system is online. Newer Arlo base stations have a single LED, while older base stations have three or five LEDs. If you can review the video feed from each of your Arlo Wire-Free cameras, your base station is connected to the Internet.
