The airport, has once again, selected ADB SAFEGATE to supply and install its Safedock T1 Advanced Visual Docking Guidance Systems (A-VDGS) and extend the SafeControl Apron Management (SAM) system. This setup will help the airport to improve predictability, minimize turnaround time, and reduce delays.
A-VDGS: Safedock T-Series. Safedock Advanced Visual Docking Guidance Systems (A-VDGS) provide active guidance to pilots to support safe, efficient and precise automated aircraft parking during virtually all operating conditions. Automation creates a safer operation by reducing the opportunity for error.
To enable fully-automated docking, the Safedock A-VDGS are integrated with airport and airline systems, via SafeControl Apron Management, to access flight information such as arrival time, the scheduled aircraft type and adjacent gate rules.
ADB SAFEGATE has been chosen to deploy its airfield and gate systems at the new Red Sea International Airport, including energy efficient airfield lights, its market-leading Individual Lighting Control and Monitoring System (ILCMS) and Safedock T1 Advanced Visual Docking Guidance System (A-VDGS).
