Before you replace the Sloan faucet battery, close the water supply stops. Locate the small screw on the faucet face and remove it with a hex wrench. This will loosen the throat plate so you can remove it as well as the battery cover, which needs a Phillips screwdriver. Slip the battery out of its nook and replace it.
NOTE: Sensor Range can be adjusted after power is supplied to the Faucet (battery or hardwire). A Hold the red button in for more than six seconds. The water flow time-out setting will change from 7 seconds to 70 seconds or from 70 seconds to 7 seconds.

There are over 25 different Sloan Optima faucet models, and a handful of different Sloan faucet solenoids to choose from. For most of these faucets, only one style of solenoid works. For others, there are two choices.
