Turn the pliers or wrench counterclockwise to open the valve. If you have a cross-shaped valve handle, stick the prongs of a Sprinkler valve key around the cross and turn the key counterclockwise to activate the valve. For round knobs, grip the knob with your hand or a clean rag and turn counterclockwise to activate.
Sprinklers should be set to run for about 30 to 35 minutes at a time twice a week. Your goal is at least 1″ of water a week for your lawn. When it’s hot and dry, double the water times while still trying to water just 2 or 3 days a week.
Each zone consists of several Sprinkler heads controlled by a valve that is electrically activated. If a single zone is not working, the problem is usually an electrical issue or a defective controller or solenoid.
Control provides full zone-level control and scheduling for up to 16 zones. Like Conserve, Control offers the same extensive set of conservation features and access to Sprinkl's nation-wide network of weather stations.
Autonomous watering mode is available with Sprinkl's moisture sensors (sold separately). This removes the need for scheduling and watering will only occur based on the actual conditions of your yard. Built-in sensing technology will let you know if there is an electrical issue with a zone and if it is not able to run
Once connected to Sprinkl's moisture sensors, Control will remove the need for scheduling altogether through Sprinkl's Autonomous Watering which will utilize moisture sensors in each zone to determine if watering is required, based on actual conditions.
