Design thinking can be broken down into five key stages: Empathise: They need to understand this person, their likes, dislikes and what they will respond well to. Define: They then need to define the problem that needs to be solved through their design. Iterate: They need to brainstorm several ideas of how to solve these problems.

2 INFRASTRUCTURE PLANNING GUIDE AND TOOLKIT The purpose of the Infrastructure Planning Guide and Toolkit (Guide and Toolkit) is to support First Nations with infrastructure planning so that it helps achieve the community’s vision and goals. Infrastructure is a means to an end.
It includes, but is not limited to: UTILITIES such as water, wastewater, and drainage systems as well as electrical power networks BUILDINGS such as schools, administrative offices, health centres, youth centres, and buildings that support economic development activities PARKS
Rather, communities build infrastructure to help achieve their vision and goals. For example, pipes might be needed to provide safe drinking water, which supports a goal to improve community health. Roads might be built to open up a new residential subdivision, which supports a goal to provide housing for all members.
