The TAKOON has more handles and subjectively maybe more comfortable also. It's a nice looking wing with a big diameter leading edge and very rigid. The one thing i did not like is the TAKOON leashes. They look nice and have a nice clip-on, but they have only about 5" of stretch to them which makes them more of a rope than a leash.

TAKOON tells on their website the windrange of the 12m is between 9 and 18knts for a twintip rider weighing 75kg. In my opinion that's not even close to the high end I can ride it in. today with 20-26knts a was still able to handle the power quite well.

TAKOON furia 2019 The first impression when you start the kite on the beach is quite different from its real DNA. With a short power stroke it feels more agile and reactive than it really is. As is intended it is nice and rather mellow on the water. It barks but doesn’t bite. Particularly in moderate winds Freeriding is quite okay on the Furia.

3 reviews of Thakoon "I'd stay far away from this company *unless* (a) you are absolutely smitten with something; (b) it's easy to divine its quality; *and* (c) you know it will fit precisely as advertised. In my case, the item was not as I expected. When I inquired about a return, I got ambushed with a "no returns & no exchanges" policy that could be found nowhere on my original receipt.

A TAKOON 4m which is very light but most importantly has the smallest wingspan of any 4m wing. This is for strong wind and for teaching my kids. The 5m Fone is my general use wing and learning to go in waves and using depowered downwind.

The Burning is only available in this 5’10” size and it’s pretty thin and narrow, though TAKOON state that it has a moderate volume of 24.7 litres, it feels a bit more sinky than that, though. Test Review Synopsis: Smooth and forgiving power, with the right agility and depower to excel in waves. The TAKOON Furia is a versatile freeride kite that offers smooth and forgiving pull for wave riding or freestyles with, nimble controls, great balance and optimum depower.
The TAKOON wing is F-one like in that they are both close to exact the same weight and both feel good in your hands, but maybe some details are not as refined. Example the pad behind the leading edge handle on the F-one is soft thick material.
However TAKOON does have another kite for beginners; the Wook. Let’s start with the good part; we really like the bar. It has strong lines a comfortable grip and is capable of changing the height where the front lines split (‘V’) to about 6m (where Duotone kites should be ridden on).
