The v1.0.01-130723 folder contains two .dfu firmware files one for mode 1 and mode 2 transmitter. The software-stsw-stm32080 folder contains the application.

Some of the new changes have been developed on some of the latest generation of newer FrSky transmitters, and have culminated into the Taranis X9D Plus Special Edition 2019. On the outside of the radio, there are a few changes to take note of. The first is the all important power button.
FrSky Taranis X9D Plus 2019 is a very good transmitter, especially considering the promising new ACCESS protocol, that could simplify many tasks. OpenTX firmware is not totally ready yet, but it is just a matter of time. SE version is a little bit more expensive, but it is worth the extra cost.
The original Taranis X9D+ supports up to 3S, but the 2019 version only supports 2S since the specs states that the maximum input voltage is 8.4V. Maybe that has something to do with the internal charging circuit as it’s designed to balance charge a 2S battery?
For users wanting to upgrade a Taranis from a pre-2.0 version (either OpenTX or the FrSky firmware) who can’t get the DFU driver installed with Zadig but have a working “DfuSe Demonstration” flashing setup (as per FrSky instructions), a copy of OpenTX 2.0.5 packaged in a .dfu file is available here.

The 2019 version uses the latest ACCESS communication protocol, it boasts 24 channels with a faster baud rate and lower latency with a high-speed module digital interface. Along with the new spectrum analysis function added to the OpenTX firmware, it is now possible to check the airwaves for RF noise.
LBT firmware is not compatible with previous EU firmware. The Taranis transmitter is continually monitoring the reception quality at the aircraft. Taranis will alert the pilot before signal quality becomes critical. This saves planes and makes the hobby much safer.
