Dec 12, 2016 . I have two Taylor Guitars with ES systems that use a similar setup and the output signal is very similar to my other acoustic guitars using a standard 1/4 cable. I don't need to boost anything when I switch to my Taylor GS-Mini (with an ES) from my Carvin Cobalt 750 or Yamaha folk series--because the signal strength is essentially the same. Peace,
