Computer bus overview. The bus contains multiple wires (signal lines) with addressing information describing the memory location of where the data is sent or retrieved. Each wire in the bus carries a bit(s) of information, which means the more wires a bus has, the more information it can address. For example, a computer with a 32-bit address bus can address 4 GB of memory, and a …

Types of computer buses A bus is either a parallel or serial bus, and either an internal bus (local bus) or an external bus (expansion bus). Internal bus vs. external bus An internal bus enables the communication between internal components, such as a video card and memory.
Each wire in the bus carries a bit (s) of information, which means the more wires a bus has, the more information it can address. For example, a computer with a 32-bit address bus can address 4 GB of memory, and a computer with a 36-bit bus can address 64 GB of memory.
The T-bus protocol is a protocol that can be used flexibly by omitting specified conditions and offers the user flexibility in the execution, thus guaranteeing optimal use.
A computer bus can transmit its data using either a parallel or serial method of communication. With a parallel bus, data is transmitted several bits at a time. However, with a serial bus, the data is transferred one bit at a time.
On the Remote Field Bus, the bus supervisor is the BACnet IP to BACnet MS/TP Router (hereafter called the BACnet Router), which works with the supervisory engine when a Remote Field Bus is installed. MS/TP Communications Bus Technical Bulletin 5
If an SA bus, FC bus, or Remote Field Bus does not have a bus supervisor, the master device with the lowest device address value on the bus and a specific baud rate selected starts the communication.
On a local FC bus, the bus supervisor is the supervisory engine. On the local SA bus, the bus supervisor is a field controller. On the Remote Field Bus, the bus supervisor is the BACnet IP to BACnet MS/TP Router (hereafter called the BACnet Router), which works with the supervisory engine when a Remote Field Bus is installed.
With the addition of a BACnet IP to BACnet MS/TP Router, the Remote Field Bus allows connection to remote equipment controllers over IP. This document is intended for the user who needs to know the rules, requirements, limits, specifications, and configuration of the MS/TP bus to design, wire, or troubleshoot an MS/TP application.
