Therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) is testing that measures the amount of certain medicines in your blood. It is done to make sure the amount of medicine you are taking is both safe and effective. Most medicines can be dosed correctly without special testing. But for certain types of medicines, it can be hard to figure out a dose that provides enough medicine to treat your …

TDM for 6 audio channels. We are designing a consumer electronics product which needs multiple audio inputs to be fed together to and handled by a single processor. We expect maximum 6 stereo signals to be handled. AD1938 seems to be a suitable option to mux these signals and feed to our processor.

TDM Plug-ins. The earliest versions of Pro Tools plug-ins utilized a framework called TDM, or Time Division Multiplexing, which provided real-time hardware processing for DSP plug-ins. The first version of Pro Tools to offer this technology was Pro Tools 2.5 back in 1994. A typical system supported four tracks and came with a 1GB drive.

This integration of software and hardware allows for enhanced precision and much better audio quality as compared to purely native systems. TDM plug-ins are typically used in high-end Pro Tools systems in which dedicated DSP chips provide the resources needed for processing the audio signal.
What is therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM)? Therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) is testing that measures the amount of certain medicines in your blood. It is done to make sure the amount of medicine you are taking is both safe and effective. Most medicines can be dosed correctly without special testing.
TDM plug-ins are often compared with another Pro Tools plug-in format, RTAS. The main difference is that TDM plug-ins derive their processing power from hardware DSP cards installed in the computer. In contrast, RTAS plug-ins utilize resources from the host computer.

The Serial Audio Interface is by far the most common mechanism used to transfer two channels of audio data between devices within a system; for instance, from the analogto-digital converter to the Digital Signal Processor (DSP) and then the digital-to-analog converter, as shown in Figure 1. The Serial Audio Interface
The complexities involving signal routing and providing a sufficient number of input/output ports on digital-signal-processors and converter can be a daunting task. As a result, the industry has adopted a Time Division Multiplexed (TDM) interface that allows multiple channels of data to be transmitted on a single data line.
