Description. Thermo Scientific Terminal Deoxynucleotidyl Transferase (TDT) is a template-independent DNA polymerase that catalyzes the repetitive addition of deoxyribonucleotides to the 3'-OH of oligodeoxyribonucleotides and single-stranded and double-stranded DNA. TDT requires an oligonucleotide of at least three nucleotides to serve as a primer. With RNA as template TDT shows …

TDT’s MF1 Multi-Field Magnetic Speakers (available in mono or stereo) offer high output and fidelity over a wide bandwidth and deliver more power at lower frequencies than our ES1 & EC1 Electrostatic Speakers. With ultrasonic ranges up to 65 kHz, the MF1 is well-suited for laboratory species with lower frequency hearing and for noise exposure studies.

TDT log basics The thermal decay time log is a record of the rate of capture of thermal neutrons in a formation after it is bombarded with a burst of 14 Mev neutrons. An electronic neutron generator in the tool produces pulses of neutrons which spread into the borehole and formation.

Protruding, recessed or blunt-ended double or single-stranded DNA molecules serve as a substrate for TDT. The 58.3 kDa enzyme does not have 5' or 3' exonuclease activity. The addition of Co 2+ in the reacton makes tailing more efficient.
The TDT log is useful for the evaluation of oil wells, for diagnosing production problems, and for monitoring reservoir performance. The Schlumberger TDT-K system utilizes two detectors and two variable time gates (plus a background gate) to sample the capture gamma radiation decay following the neutron burst.
Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase. Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase ( TDT ), also known as DNA nucleotidylexotransferase ( DNTT) or terminal transferase, is a specialized DNA polymerase expressed in immature, pre-B, pre-T lymphoid cells, and acute lymphoblastic leukemia /lymphoma cells.
Terminal Transferase. Terminal transferase (TDT) is a template independent polymerase that catalyzes the addition of deoxynucleotides to the 3' hydroxyl terminus of DNA molecules. Protruding, recessed or blunt-ended double or single-stranded DNA molecules serve as a substrate for TDT. The 58.3 kDa enzyme does not have 5' or 3' exonuclease activity.
In humans, terminal transferase is encoded by the DNTT gene. As a member of the X family of DNA polymerase enzymes, it works in conjunction with polymerase λ and polymerase μ, both of which belong to the same X family of polymerase enzymes. The diversity introduced by TDT has played an important role in...
Although TDT was one of the first DNA polymerases identified in mammals in 1960, it remains one of the least understood of all DNA polymerases. In 2016–18, TDT was discovered to demonstrate in trans template dependant behaviour in addition to its more broadly known template independent behaviour
