Hydrated lime, also referred to as calcium hydroxide {Ca(OH) 2} or slaked lime, are typically used in drinking water and waste water treatment, acid neutralization, chemical manufacturing and other environmental applications.
Hydrated lime is not combustible or flammable. However, it reacts vigorously with acids, and may release heat sufficient to ignite combustible materials in specific instances. Hydrated lime is not considered to be an explosion hazard, although reaction with acids or other incompatible materials may rupture containers.
To find a Lime near you, simply open the Lime app. You'll automatically be taken to the map screen, showing all available Lime vehicles in your area. If you don't see any vehicle icons displayed on the map, zoom out to search a wider area.
Most cities have a maximum speed limit of 15 mph. Lime-S’s is just below that, at about 14.8 mph. What about helmet laws? All cities are different regarding helmet laws and electric assist vehicles. Please consult your local DOT for specific information on helmet laws where you’re riding.
