The TECC course delivered by STOPS is certified by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma, is consistent with the most current guidelines established by the Committee on Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (C-TECC), and meets all of the updated National Tactical Emergency Medical Support Competency Domains.
Tactical Emergency Casualty Care. NAEMT's Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) teaches EMS practitioners and other prehospital providers how to respond to and care for patients in a civilian tactical environment. It is designed to decrease preventable deaths in a tactical situation.
The Strategic Operations, Inc. (STOPS) fully accredited, 16-hour TECC provider course includes all-new tactical casualty incident simulations. TECC at STOPS includes but is not limited to: Hemorrhage control including immediate action drills for tourniquet application
Flavored Tobacco Products. These products include flavored smokeless tobacco, little cigars and cigarillos, large cigars, e-cigarettes, hookah, and dissolvables, in addition to menthol cigarettes, and are sold in an array of flavors that range from fruit flavors to candy or confectionery flavors, to alcoholic beverage to herbs and spices.
However, the use of flavors in tobacco products raises important public health questions.
84.6% of stores sell flavored little cigars and cigarillos Almost half of stores sell flavored e-cigarettes or large cigars [2] However, flavored tobacco products are not marketed and sold uniformly across the United States.
Currently, no flavors are banned from other tobacco products, although research suggests flavors may also make these products more enticing to youth and young adults.
