Nov 08, 2010 . Clean the external part of the lid and the interior as often as you want. I use a nylon-fiber scrub brush you can buy for about a dollar. This is the part of the mug lid where you put your mouth. I also wipe it down every few days with a damp, clean cloth. Disassemble the lid and clean it on a regular, but not daily basis. I want to minimize wear and tear on the many plastic threads on my Thermos King.
