One way to do this is to simply make a written list of these major headings on a post-it note or sheet of paper as you see them in the requirements. This way you can simply cross out each element on the list after you have added it to your safety manual document.
If you want to take a gander at writing this technical subject matter from scratch, the best approach would be to use Federal OSHA (or your state's equivalent) as the main source for inspiration.
OSHA guidelines are voluntary recommendations for compliance with general workplace safety and training initiatives where standards have not been defined. General OSHA guidelines appear in OSHA's Safety and Health Program Management Guidelines.
A safety manual is a universal precaution that can substantially reduce the number and severity of workplace injuries and alleviate the associated financial burdens on workplaces. CAL/OSHA refers to this as an Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP). Washington calls this an Accident Prevention Program or APP.
Records. OSHA does not require businesses that employ less than 10 employees to keep required OSHA injury and illness records (OSHA 300 forms). In some industries, however, this requirement is still mandatory. Written notice of this requirement will come from OSHA or the Bureau of Labor Statistics if the records are mandatory.
A safety manual is a collection of information, instructions, policies, and procedures intended to ensure the safe operation of a device and safe conduct in the workplace. A good safety manual is fundamental to good safety management, as it is what employees will consult to ensure they are complying with regulations and company policy.
