Below is a series of photos showing how a young jumper at Skydive The Farm ended up with a main canopy toggle malfunction. The jumper did try to stow the toggles per the manufacturer's manual (United Parachute Technologies TruLock Toggles).But the stowage instructions aren't as detailed for canopies with longer excess brake lines.

Feb 27, 2014 . MarS a.s. performed testing of H/C parachute SPIRIT VARIO with device m² AAD by PIA TS-112. Device with H/C passed all the prescribed tasks. The tandem rating course will take 3 days, weather permitting. The course consists of two days of classroom with lots of practical training and correction of the written exam. There are 5 jumps in the course. One solo jump with the Sigma rig, one where you are the passenger and three evaluation jumps where you are the tandem instructor.

In the late 1970’s Bill made two major contributions to the world of skydiving. First, he invented and patented the Hand Deploy Pilot Chute, which quickly changed the sport. The second invention, and perhaps Bill’s greatest contribution, was the invention the 3-Ring Release System.
