In some cases, you may be able to use the finger command to verify an address or find more information for someone at another institution about whom you already have some information. The finger command is available on most Unix systems.
The cheapest 3D printers are simple models, like the $749 Printrbot Simple with Heated Bed or the $999 Cubify Cube 3 (see review). These printers use a process typically called filament deposition manufacturing (FDM).
3D printing, if you were to want to do it at home, could cost anywhere from $220 to $2,200 for just the printer. This printer will be much different than a commercial-based printer since it’s designed for the average hobbyist.

3D printing is no longer an expensive or niche hobby. Due to new advances in additive manufacturing technology, the cost of 3D printing has dropped sharply in the last decade. You can even get a cheap budget 3D printers for around 200 dollars.
