At around five inches long, ghost bats are the largest bat in the suborder Microchiroptera, also known as the microbats. They are the only carnivorous bat in Australia.
VAMPires can take the form of rats, bats, mist or smoke in cloud form (whole body or occasionally part of their body) or a single giant or regular bat, wolf (or a werewolf looking creature), giant or regular rat or a bat-like demon.Some can even turn their hands.
The most common species, the common VAMPire ( Desmodus) is not fastidious and will attack any warm-blooded animal. The white-winged VAMPire ( Diaemus) appears to have a special preference for birds and goats. In the laboratory it has not been possible to feed Diaemus on cattle blood.
