Vapotherm, Inc. out of Stevensville, MD has announced the US and European launch of its new Flowrest device, which is designed to treat patients suffering from chronic respiratory diseases by delivering heated and humidified gases through a nasal cannula.
Abstract PURPOSE: Vapotherm is a novel oxygen delivery system capable of flow rates of 40 l/min. Unlike non-rebreather (NRB) systems, Vapotherm uses a nasal canula, allowing patients to talk and eat while receiving high-flow oxygen.
