Maintenance. Velos UAV is an extremely low maintenance helicopter. The simplicity of the twin electric power train requires replacing only a few ball bearings and two belts every about 80 – 100 hours but that can easily verified with a simple inspection. Nothing like the gas powered UAVs.

Jul 18, 2015 . 800 has 30% more rotor area than 700. Velos on video has 850mm blades. 850 has only 13% more rotor area than 800. I can do half piroflips with my 800 with 4.2kW motor. Velos has 13% bigger rotor and 480% more power. Question is, how much heavier it is? This one is pretty:

Fully redundant thanks to twin motors, ESCs, drive belts, pulleys, bearings and four servo swash plate, it is almost impossible to lose power on main or tail rotor or lose control due to a component failure.
SPH Engineering announced that the Velos UAV helicopter has passed field tests to become the first single rotor helicopter supported by UgCS software. UgCS now enables Velos helicopter professionals to use Velos for photogrammetry and LiDAR drone surveying missions.
Velos has a fully redundant design with twin motors and major components. As a result, it is the only drone in its class that can fly with one or more major failures such as: motor failure, broken belt, gear – one-way bearing failure, burned ESC, main battery failure, BEC failure, servo failure

To reset Velop: With your node connected to power and turned on, press and hold the Reset button on the bottom. The light on top of the node will turn red and fade in pulses. Do not release the button until the light goes out and then turns bright red.
