You can view your pattern in full screen mode by pressing CTRL-L (on a PC) or by clicking View->Full Screen Mode. Change these settings: Edit->Preferences->Full Screen, then UNCHECK ‘fill screen with one page at a time’. This makes it so that your zoom percentage stays the same when you switch to full screen mode.

The Vivimage does allow you to change your projection mode (front desktop, rear desktop aka mirrored, rear ceiling, front ceiling) but you have to do that in your settings when you first turn on your projector or go all the way back to the main screen. I usually always am in front desktop and occasionally in rear when I want to mirror something instead of moving my fabric.

The projector I have is the Vivimage Explorer 2. It’s the most used projector for sewing. It’s also a great bang for your buck at only $130 on Amazon. It’s a mini projector, lightweight and has a remote, which means you don’t have to stand on your table to turn it on and off every time you want to use it.
This is what you will see referred to as “throw”. Some projectors can give a larger projection area with a shorter throw so you want to pay attention to that when choosing your model. I chose the Vivimage Explore 2 specifically for the larger projection area with a shorter throw. The next thing to consider is how bright or dark your space is.
It can also be called as a mobile to projector connector. Most of the smartphones support Chromecast, and it also directly connects to your Projector’s HDMI port. You can watch movies, videos, or you can just cast your smartphone screen on your projector using a Chromecast.
