If the cap is not properly tightened, the Malfunction Indicator Light may illuminate. For more information, refer to the “Instruments and controls (section 2)” and the “Pre-driving checks and adjustments (section 3)” of your Owner’s Manual.
VEHICLE-TO-VEHICLE DISTANCE CONTROL MODE To set Vehicle-To-Vehicle Distance Control mode, press the CRUISE ON/OFF button 1 for less than 1.5 seconds. The CRUISE indicator light 2 will illuminate. Accelerate to the desired speed. COAST/SET Push down on the switch 3 and release it. Intelligent Cruise Control will be set to the desired speed.
When a vehicle is detected ahead of you in the lane, the vehicle ahead detection, set distance and set vehicle speed indicator lights will illuminate 6in set mode. To reset at a faster cruising speed, push up and hold the RES +switch 7 on the steering wheel.
Jaguar warning messages are displayed on the message centre display panel. The warning messages will only display when the ignition is switched to on. Most warning messages will be accompanied with a warning light; either red or amber.
If a warning light stays on or comes on while driving, investigate the fault. This is particularly important for red warning lights. Detailed on this page are the Jaguar XF dashboard warning lights with each symbol meaning and what action to take. Explanation: This is the Jaguar XF brake warning light.
The red triangle containing an exclamation mark indicates a critical warning with the Jaguar XF. A message on the information panel will provide further information. This warning light illuminates either in red or amber. Red: Stop as soon as safely possible and investigate the problem.
Most warning messages will be accompanied with a warning light; either red or amber. If a warning message is displayed along with a red warning light (highest priority), investigate the fault immediately.
