Several basic technical requirements of a RO system are: Feed Water should be adjusted to proper pH and be prefiltered. The amount of TDS and suspended materials in the feed Water after prefiltration should be controlled within the designed limits. Feed Water and product Water should be monitored for microbiological quality.
A Water system has two primary requirements: First, it needs to deliver adequate amounts of Water to meet consumer consumption requirements plus needed fire flow requirements. Second, the Water system needs to be reliable; the required amount of Water needs to be available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
2 This is a first attempt at developing a Handbook specifically for the operation of drinking Water treatment plants to match the Handbook for the Operation of WasteWater Treatment Works.
