The Watts Clever Wireless Energy Monitor is great for displaying how much power is being purchased from the electricity provider at a given time. It allows me to optimise my appliance use during the day to get the most benefit from my solar panels.
The plug itself is nothing particularly special and resembles a small digital timer. Its model number is ES-AUS1103. It differs quite markedly in design and model number compared with the other RF-only Watts Clever EASY-OFF branded sockets and is unlikely to interoperate with them.

The plug is somewhat larger than a standard plug and ends up blocking adjacent plugs on GPOs and power boards.
These will be sent securely to you in a plain box. Our EW4500 Wireless Energy Monitor allows you to see how much electricity you are using and how much it is costing you both in real time and historically. It is designed to work with virtually all digital and smart meters. It will not work with older analogue (spinning disc) meters.
Anywhere within 30 meters of your meter should be ok. Our experience has been much longer ranges without dropouts especially when there fewer walls between the meter and the Energy Monitor. Incidentally EW4500 uses the 433Mhz frequency, much lower than the 2.4Ghz used by Zigbee-based In-Home Displays for Victorian Smart Meters.
It will not work with older analogue (spinning disc) meters. The EW4500 is not Compatable with the Atlas Mk7a and Altas Mk10D. Installation and set up is simple and quick; there is no need to touch any cables or play with the fuse box.
Incidentally EW4500 uses the 433Mhz frequency, much lower than the 2.4Ghz used by Zigbee-based In-Home Displays for Victorian Smart Meters. The lower the frequency the greater the propagation, especially around obstacles.
