Descriptive Wave properties include: Wavelength: The distance between one point on a Wave and the exact same place on the next Wave. Frequency: How many Waves go past a point in one second. The unit of measurement is hertz (Hz).
Frequency (ƒ) is the number of repetitions per second in Hz, s -1 Period (T) is the time for one Wavelength to pass a point. T = ƒ-1. The velocity (v) of the Wave is the speed that a specific part of the Wave passes a point.
5 A sound Wave in air has a frequency of 256 Hz. The Wavelength of the Wave is 1.3 m.
