But poor user experience can ruin everything, and over the years, I’ve run into my share of quirks and frustrations with various weather stations.

  • Where do I Find my WeatherFlow station ID?

    To use the module, you will need to first obtain the station ID of your WeatherFlow Smart Weather Station or your Tempest Weather System and optionally the device ID of each module. This can be found by: Open up https://tempestwx.com/ in a web browser. Log in using the credentials you created during the installation process

  • When did the WeatherFlow smart weather station come out?

    In 2016, WeatherFlow launched an Indiegogo campaign for their first consumer weather station, the WeatherFlow Smart Weather Station. The station consisted of separate air and sky modules. The air module included sensors for measuring temperature, humidity, pressure, and lightning strikes.

  • How long does it take to install WeatherFlow Tempest?

    That’s the fastest installation of any station I’ve tested—by a significant margin. With some stations, it takes up to 30 minutes to fully install everything. We recommend you install the Tempest atop a pole that is as far away from obstructions as possible for best results.

  • What do you need to set up smart weather station?

    To setup your Smart Weather Station, you will need a smartphone or tablet running our iOS or Android app. Your smartphone or tablet must support BlueTooth Low Energy (BLE) — this is how your phone connects to the HUB. Download the Smart Weather app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

  • Where do I download the smart weather app?

    Your yard has its own “nano climate” and will report the truth of the exact location where your AIR is sited: that means it will be wetter near things like trees, ground cover, wet decks, dryer vents, etc. Where do I download the Smart Weather app? The Smart Weather App is available for download at the Apple App Store or via Google Play.

  • How does WeatherFlow data get to the cloud?

    If the device is connected to your home WiFi network, your data is pushed automatically to the cloud. Then anyone / any connected device can view the data via the WeatherFlow app or a variety of integrated weather and smart home apps.

  • Where can I Find my Home weather station?

    Most people will locate their weather station at home and connect to a home WiFi network. Doing this will enable consistent weather data to flow into our servers and allow anytime data access.
