(2) Lay the gimbal on a static flat surface; make sure it has no shaking. Calibration is finish when the mode light is continuously flashing for 3 times. (3) Power off the gimbal and restart it, if the calibration is unsuccessful, you can repeat step (1) (2) to reinitialize.
A gimbal is a 2- or 3-axis device that keeps equipment steady when the supporting platform moves. Gimbals were originally used in ships to keep their compasses steady, and the modern video camera stabilizer still uses the same principles.
The SimpleBGC controller and accompanying 2-axis and 3-axis gimbals can be purchased from basecamelectronics.com and many other retailers. Although the SimpleBGC can be connected using PWM (similar to the Tarot gimbal) we recommend using the serial interface connected to one of the autopilot’s Serial/Telemetry ports like Telem2 as shown above.
To use the gimbal GUI and the autopilot with MavLink its necessary to use Gimbal firmware version 2.60 or above. Connect the autopilot as shown above but connect the RX wire (orange) to the RC-R and the TX wire (green) to the RC-Y pin on the gimbal
