After prepping the parts, installing the antenna, and installing the radials, we finally get to performance of the 40-10 meter vertical from ZeroFive Antennas. The antenna is designed to work with a tuner. In my case, I use the built-in tuner on the Yaesu FT-1000MP. SWR is more than acceptable with the tuner.

Oct 06, 2018 . N3ZP Premium Subscriber QRZ Page. I have a Zero-Five 43 ft. vertical also. It is fed with about 90 ft. of Bury Flex and has 60 radials. This is my 2nd Zero Five. My first antenna at this QTH was a Butternut HF6V. It had about 16 radials at the time and seemed to work OK except for the very tight bandwidth on 80.

Above 30 meters, you want to use horizontal antennas as opposed to verticals. Hearing on 160/80 is your challenge. The Inverted L on 160 is a good all around antenna. On 80, your loop may work better for domestic or Caribbean contacts. KD6RF likes this.
