Eddie, The zero five antenna has a capacitor connected across the folded hoop forming a parallel tuned matching setup, it looks to be a variation of the setup in the avanti av170 & av190 but using an external capacitor which looks to be adjustable, I can understand why some people mistake it for a gamma match.

Above 30 meters, you want to use horizontal antennas as opposed to verticals. Hearing on 160/80 is your challenge. The Inverted L on 160 is a good all around antenna. On 80, your loop may work better for domestic or Caribbean contacts. KD6RF likes this.
