• How to run Zim in a portable install?

  To allow running zim in a "portable" install, you can configure the environment parameters which zim to e.g. looks up resources and Config Files with a special configuration file call environ.ini . This config file must be placed in the same folder where the zim script or zim executable is installed.

• What kind of software does a Zimo decoder have?

  ZIMO decoders contain an EPROM which stores software that determines its characteristics and functions. The software version can be read out form CV #7 and #65. The current version may not yet be capable of all the functions mentioned in this manual.

• What are the rules for exporting animals in ZIMS?

  Overall ZIMS PMx Export Rules: Animals with temporary numbers will be exported and treated in the same way as permanent SB ID animals. Draft animals will not be included in the export to PMx. All files created in the PMx export screen will be downloaded to the browser in a zipped folder. User can find these files in their “Downloads” file.
